I was an ESE music teacher at a center school. My students LOVED Skoog. One was donated by parents of a student. The trigger is touch and can be controlled to be a deep pressure or a light touch. Especially students with autism liked the heavy touch and following the visual patterns they could follow to play well known songs. It is limited by one’s imagination since a companion app allows you to simply record and play your own sounds. So, B, I, N, G, O and other songs or stories with letters, numbers, sound effect or repeating words are easy fun. The company has YouTube videos and is very helpful if you have questions. Best of all in mixed classes or groups, higher level individuals can learn to code for Skoog in Swift Playground to make lessons for their classmates. Last of all you can improvise with your own music in a way automatically set up in the software that only allows notes that sound good to be played. Music teacher or music therapists can easily find applications to curriculum or therapy. Go for it!
