Tecla-e is a cloud-connected assistive device that provides users access and control of their smart devices and environment through ability switches and wheelchair driving controls. Tecla-e can pair with up to 8 different Bluetooth-compatible devices or Internet-enabled appliances and the user can switch between them by pressing and holding one of their switches. Tecla-e is a light touch button that contains location, temperature, motion, and ambient light sensors. The information gathered by these sensors can be uploaded to the cloud and accessed through the Tecla app. The user can make this information available to family and caregiver who have also downloaded the app for extra peace of mind. The Tecla app is an additional service that gives users the freedom to be creative with their smart home devices. Users have the option to activate commands through the Tecla-e itself or through buttons on the app.
