The Assistive Technology Advisory Council for Florida’s assistive technology program, FAAST, is receiving nominations for the inaugural 2021 Michael Phillips Assistive Technology Award of Excellence. This award will be presented annually to one deserving individual.
The 2021 Michael Phillips Assistive Technology Award of Excellence honors the spirit of an individual who navigated numerous obstacles through assistive technology (AT) tools and devices. To learn more about Michael Phillips, click here.
This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions towards promoting the use of AT in Florida and/or making AT more accessible to those who use AT.
Individuals eligible to be nominated must be involved with assistive technology as a professional, an advocate, volunteer, AT user, family member of an AT user, or caregiver to an AT user.
The deadline for nominations is Wednesday, August 18, 2021, and the awards will be presented at the Assistive Technology Advisory Council meeting on September 14, 2021.
