The transmitter and receiver are paired using a key code which is sent from the transmitter to the receiver, this makes it impossible to listen in on a conversation. To use Comfort Contego Listening System – Clip located on back of the receiver and either attach to an article of clothing, place in user’s pocket, or place it close enough to you so that hearing is desirable. Then position the transmitter in an area of sound you desire to hear. The transmitter and receiver will work together over a distance up to one hundred (100) feet depending upon your environment. The receiver itself may also be used as a standalone personal listener. The user may pick up sound using the built-in microphones in the receiver. When distance between you and the speaker/sound source is longer, you may have the person you want to hear use the transmitter. If you wear a hearing aid with a T-coil you can use the Comfort Contego with the neck loop, otherwise you can use it with head or ear phones.
