Meet Tim McCann, FAAST’s Outreach Champion!
Tim McCann has been an essential part of the FAAST family for over two decades. He first joined us in November 2004 as an Information and Referral Specialist, briefly stepping away to work with Elder Affairs, before returning in April 2014. Today, he serves as our dedicated Outreach Specialist.
If you’ve ever called 1-844-FL-FAAST, chances are you’ve talked to Tim. He’s the welcoming voice connecting Floridians with necessary disability resources and a familiar face at FAAST’s outreach events across the state.
Since 2010, Tim has been certified as a Community Resource Specialist through Inform USA. One of his proudest achievements is creating and maintaining FAAST’s Funding Guide—a critical tool helping countless Floridians access funding for assistive technology.
Tim especially looks forward to the annual Family Café event in Orlando, appreciating its broad reach and valuable opportunities to connect individuals and families with FAAST’s services. He takes pride in FAAST’s strong presence and partnership at this important event.
One memorable highlight for Tim was after Hurricane Michael, when his team delivered a refurbished reclining wheelchair to a client temporarily housed in Panama City. Moments like these showcase the meaningful impact FAAST makes by connecting people with the right assistive technology.
Looking forward, Tim is excited to expand FAAST’s device loan program, raise statewide awareness, and secure full funding to continue delivering exceptional services. His vision? A Florida where everyone knows FAAST and can easily access the resources they need.
